An amazing and tasty alternative to the ol cuppa joe.
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- 200ml almond milk
- 1/2 teaspoon tahini
- 1 1/4 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
- sesame seeds (black or white) for garnish
In a small bowl, whisk 1 teaspoon matcha powder with 1/4 cup boiling water. Once powder is dissolved into water, mix in the tahini, cinnamon and honey. Transfer to your mug of choice. Whisking the matcha powder will avoid any of that ‘soapy’ green tea taste – which you want to avoid! If you have a coffee machine steam wand, froth the almond milk, otherwise warm on a stove. Pour over your ingredients until your mug is full. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
